Can anyone help ID this? Looks like a chinese mark to me. Thanks.

Probably Onta-yaki, Oita Prefecture, Japan, but they stamp their pieces Onta yaki and this looks like a personal seal
The decoration is called chattering and created by bouncing a metal tool on the slipped surface as the pot turns on the wheel, which gouges the clay surface.

Onta ware bottle vase (or possibly Koishiwara ware). There is a similar example in the San Diego Mingei museum exhibition 2016 showing works by the ‘unknown craftsmen’ of Korea and Japan who were championed by Soetsu Yanagi in the early 20thC. He was a friend of Hamada and Leach
